History

The First National Bank has a long history of service to the community. The birth of this institution is recorded in 1906 when The Bank of Russell Springs opened on Main Street. The name was changed to The First National Bank when the federal charter from the Comptroller of the Currency was issued on April 16, 1919.

The present directors include Steven Fletcher, Bryan Smith, Terry Stephens, Gene V. Smith, James Terill Wilson, Ronald Hopper, Charlene Harris and Doug Aaron.

First National Bank is a full service bank. Through the combined effort of First National Bank's employees, officers, and directors, we will continue to demonstrate the bank's interest in the community and their dedication to serving Russell County and the Lake Cumberland area.
